Text Box: NEWS RELEASE – 04.20.2010 There will be an Irish Dance Recital at the Auburn Junior High School auditorium on 24th April, at 6 p.m. The recital will include a Bharatnatyam performance by the Kalaivani Music and Dance Academy students of Auburn and Atlanta. The NorthSouth Foundation announces educational contests for Indian American children in Spelling Bee, Vocabulary Bee, Math Bee and Geography Bee. The competitions, to be held at the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Auburn-Opelika, 1550 Opelika Road, Suite 9, in Auburn on May 1, 2010. The Foundation is still accepting registrations for the contest at their website, www.northsouth.org Top Scorers will be invited to participate in the National Championship Finals. The First, Second and Third place winners at the Finals will receive scholarships ranging from $250–$1,000. A portion of the funds raised from these contests is used to provide college scholarships for needy and meritorious children in India.
