Auburn will soon have a fortnightly sale of ethnic Indian vegetables! Mr. Dhawal Raste and his wife (who run an Indian grocery store in Columbus, GA called "Apna Bazar") will have fresh vegetables for sale beginning next Sunday, December 6, 2009 (between 11 AM and 1 PM). He would also sell 'home-made' Indian snacks and sweets. The location is the parking lot of Goalpost Convenience Stores -- corner of West Glenn Ave. and 178 N Donahue Dr, Auburn, AL . Ph: (334) 821-2500
This was an initative of ICAEA, and we thank Mrs. Leela Prakash, Mrs. Latha Bhavnani and Mrs. Niranjana Nayak for the idea and for getting this going. We greatly appreciate the generosity of Mrs. Bharathi and Dr. M. S. 'Sankar' Reddy for permitting this sale on their premises.
Dhawal Raste can be reached by email at or by phone (706) 580-5136
We have set up a website to assist Dhawal in this effort and facilitate your interaction with him. Please visit the following site to see a list of vegetables that he would sell in Auburn. You can also let him know if you wish him to bring any other item for sale
